Course Delivery Method
The Bethel Seminary offers courses in a variety of formats. These include class room instruction, audio and video instruction, and syllabus instruction. There are four means of attending Bethel Seminary, these include:
Summer School of Ministry
The Purpose of the Bethel Summer School of Ministry is to train and equip the next generation of ministers for effective service to the Body of Christ. The summer course schedule will serve as an introduction to the study of the Scriptures and Christian ministry. We are committed to equipping our students by grounding them in the Word of God, and in sound theological teaching. As well we provide hands-on opportunities for them to be trained in diverse areas of ministry. If you are interested in pursuing the ministry, or exploring the call which God has placed on your life, this program will provide participants with an educational, and spiritual environment in which to study and seek Gods face individually and corporately.
Academics
The Summer school has been designed to be an intense, and highly demanding academic program. Which required the student to devote many hours a day, the to the study of Gods word. Those who apply can expect to work hard, in the pursuit of Biblical Studies. Our academic schedule consists of two basic units; Academic Instruction, and Practical Ministry.
Academic Instruction
Classroom – 16 hours a week Monday – Thursday
Chapel – 8 Hours a week
Friday Seminars – 30 Hours
Practical Ministry
Preaching / Teaching Lab – 2 Hours a week of Ministry Lab
Students Conference – 12 Hours (Preparation and delivery)
Misc. Ministry Opportunities (drama, children’s ministry, choir, etc.)
Continuing Education Program
The purpose of the Bethel School of Ministry is to train and equip ministers for effective service to the Body of Christ. And the Continuing Education Program will serve non-traditional students by offering a course of study which is both systematic and functional.
Program Overview:
The Bethel Continuing Education Program will offer classes once a month, on Friday evening from 7pm–9pm, and on Saturday from 8am –3pm.
Tuition:
The Continuing Education Course tuition is $720, plus $120 for books over the course of a year.
Bethel Online
The Bethel School of Ministry offers online classes for those desiring to obtain the Certificate of Biblical Studies (First Year). Subsequently the institute will offer classes for all three years, as well as a Spanish Language School. If you are interested in formal Bible Training but cannot attend classes on Campus in Kenedy, this is the program for you. The classes are fully online, and thus accessible to you online at any time and place. The delivery format for the courses is a mix of audio lectures and reading along, with homework assignments that can be delivered online. You will receive the same content which is offered on campus with the added flexibility of time. The cost of tuition is $1000.00 for the Certificate of Biblical Studies (This does not include the cost of books. The student will be responsible for purchasing.)
$100 per course for those who wish to take classes at leisure.
Syllabus Courses
Syllabus coursework consists of any of the following depending on the format of the instructor of the specific course:
-video lectures/audio lectures
-reading list to be completed at a determined time
-online material as well as video/audio lectures
At the end of each session, you can complete a chapter test to see if you’re ready to move on or have some material to review. Once you’ve completed the entire course, take the practice test to see if you’re ready to earn credit. Use the study tools in the course to prepare for your final exam.
Housing
Housing for Bethel Seminary resident students is available on the UPLCII Headquarters Campus in Kenedy Texas.
Transfer of Credits
Transferring to Bethel
Bethel welcomes transfer students desiring to pursue their Christian Higher Education while wishing to transfer from another college. Sealed official transcripts must be submitted directly to Bethel Seminary from all institutions of learning the student attended after graduating from high school. Such transcripts must indicate courses entered, show whether the course is in progress or completed, the grade assigned, and semester/quarter credit hours earned.
The transferability of credit earned at other institutions and transferred to Bethel Seminary is at the discretion of Bethel Seminary. Every effort will be made to accept credit earned at another institution that will help the student complete their degree goal. The transferability of credit earned at Bethel and transferred to another institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
Admissions
In order to be admitted as a student of Bethel Seminary, the applicant must be committed to the absolute Lordship of Christ, through an ongoing relationship with Him, and in full obedience to His will. The student must submit an application for admission and have the recommendation of his or her Pastor.
Advanced Standing
Undergraduate students who qualify may be eligible for Advanced Standing through Life and Ministry Experience credit. Life and Ministry Experience credit is available at the undergraduate level only for a maximum of 15 credit hours. Senior Pastors who have served for seven years may qualify for up to 30 credit hours.
When applying for admission, those students who desire Advanced Standing are to complete the Life and Ministry Assessment Form. All information submitted for Life and Ministry Experience credit must be verifiable. The Life and Ministry Experience Assessment Form must be completed and certified by church leadership not related to the applicant.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS
The undergraduate degrees at Bethel Seminary require a minimum of 30 Hours (Certificate of Biblical Studies) or 60 hours (Advanced Certificate) or 90 hours (Diploma) or 120 (Bachelor) of Bible/Theology. These hours may be earned through any combination of transfer hours, Life and Ministry Experience, or completing Bethel courses.

Students having earned a Master of Theology (ThM) or a Master of Divinity (MDiv) may enroll in a 36-hour degree program for a Doctor of Ministry (ThD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). All other Doctorate degree programs require 60 semester hours beyond the Master’s degree to qualify for a doctorate degree.
